Netflix’s GLOW, a successful comedy about women’s wrestling in the mid-80s, releases its third season tomorrow, which a lot of us around here are pretty excited about. With Spandex had the chance to talk with actor Chris Lowell, who plays Bash Howard, the troubled founder and producer of the fictionalized Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling at the center of the show. Lowell gave us his insights on the series, some hints of what’s coming in the new season, and explained why we probably won’t see him return to Veronica Mars.

Earlier this year, federal investigators began requesting corporate documents and questioning staff at American Media Inc., the company run by Donald Trump’s longtime friend David Pecker, about a special issue of the National Enquirer it produced that lavished praise on Saudi Arabia and its controversial leader, Mohammed bin Salman, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the investigation. Gathering evidence through at least June and working at the direction of prosecutors from the Southern District of New York, FBI agents zeroed in on the circumstances behind the magazine’s publication and, according to one of the sources, whether AMI had engaged in illegal influence peddling on behalf of a foreign power. Both AMI and the SDNY declined to comment on the investigation, including whether it remains ongoing. Image Credit: Supplied Dubai: Jubail Table Tennis Association (JTTA) from Saudi Arabia dominated at the Fourth GCC All Filipino Table Tennis Tournament 2019 that concluded at Al Nasr Club’s indoor hall, over the weekend. More than 200 table tennis players from across the Gulf region participated in the annual competition that was contested in three separate categories in the individual and teams categories. Players representing JTTA won the teams’ titles in the Class A and Class C and ended second in the Class B category. The team from Saudi Arabia tasted further success when Jima Navarro won the individual honours in Class A, while Jayco Navarro won the Class B crown and Sol Arroyo completed a clean sweep for JTTA from Class C.
